Apache

La directive AddDefaultCharset permet d'indiquer l'encoding mais ce n'est qu'une bonne idée si vous êtes sûr d'avoir tout vos fichiers avec cet encoding. AddDefaultCharset outrepasse l'indication d'encoding dans les balises html meta ou les tags xml.

conf.d/charset

Décommentez dans /etc/apache2/conf.d/charset

AddDefaultCharset utf-8

.htaccess

Plus exotique; si vous avez activé les fichiers .htaccess d'Apache :
